My brain tends towards order and straight lines, so puzzles like sudoku don't provide much entertainment, but people and organisations are gratifyingly complex.
Employees who are highly productive in one setting and recalcitrant in another, financials peppered with notes and exceptions, or how the smartest, most profitable strategy becomes roadkill if it doesn't align with people's values - these fascinate and energise me.
Obviously, my years of research, experience, and experimentation have provided tools and insights to guide the people who make up an organisation, but still, there is no one size fits all, and there is always a new scenario to test the limits.
I am at my best collaborating with teams who are looking for better ways to delight their customers and each other.
It's a question of trust, communication, and accountability - I bring all three to the table.
